Slide

Can we bear witness and stand-up to all?
Or lay-by watching the clouds slide, broken,-
Unfulfilled, a week draws rapidly now,
Closely following familial lough,
We learn to hide with the ease of a breeze,
Cool with melancholy swayed by despair,
Wake please wake from lineal whim so fake,
Believe please believe for our Heaven's sake,
And slide not into damnation,
And hide not our true intention.

It was blades of grass that cut one's eyetooth,
In a summer sun - Saturday - light told,
As giver of forgiveness a path laid,
Promoting steps emerging through a glade,
Those garden days linger eternally,
Barefoot gravity tickled a dream through,
Beyond slavish design we then peruse,
An album's worth playing future enthuse,
And slide not into damnation,
And hide not our true intention.

So, what's it all about - is it a choice?
Waiting in the wings for treatment in flight,
Holding-on to a belief well-grounded,
It's will and cure faithfully resounded,
Upon slippery spoke, wheels kept turning,
With a limitless look to hopeful days,
The goodwill was dispersed and treasured dear,
Such opportunity eases to steer,
And slide not into damnation,
And hide not our true intention.
